EFFECTIVENESS OF VIRTUAL VS. NON-VIRTUAL TEACHING IN IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION OF IRANIAN UNDERGRADUATE EFL STUDENTS

Virtual learning, in particular, has been defined as any system of education and instruction that brings together participants who are separated by geographical distances or time. Notably, virtual learning environment interactive telecommunications systems utilized to connect learners, resources, instructors. Accordingly, the present study sought investigate significant effect teaching on improving reading comprehension undergraduate EFL university students. To this end, from population students majoring English translation, at Islamic Azad University, Isfahan, Iran, one control group, class, blended group were selected, each consisting thirty participants. Subsequently, was exposed web-based technologies throughout entire term while taught through traditional method. Moreover, instructor used both innovative methods. The results t- test revealed which during progressed substantially comparison with other two groups. there appeared be a difference between pretest posttest group. Evidently, may have practical implications for teachers, online instructors, distance programmers, materials developers, syllable designers.
